Playtech Reports Revenue Growth as B2B Industry Shines
Playtech, one of the world’s reputable developers of gambling software, recently released its 2021 results which showed impressive growth. Its revenue increased by 12 percent from €1.07 billion to €1.21 billion. Recently, Playtech has heavily invested in the US and Latin America’s B2B market. Its investment has begun to bear fruit, according to Mr. Weizer, The Playtech’s CEO.
Play Gun Lake uses Playtech’s gaming technology
Play Gun Lake launched its online gaming products in early 2021 thanks to Playtech’s gaming technology. The online gambling products run on Playtech’s IMS platform, which features a wide range of online casino gaming content. Online gamblers can play baccarat, blackjack, and slots on any device.
Accelerated growth in the US B2B market
Playtech began its massive investment strategy in the US market in 2021. It began selling casual and social gaming, which helped the company make huge profits. Playtech was first launched in Michigan and New Jersey.
In Michigan, the gambling software giant signed collaboration between Parx Interactive and its subsidiary Play Gun Lake. Playtech CEO said the gaming industry forecast for 2022 will likely double as the gaming technology giant expands to other states in the US and Latin America region.
In a statement to its shareholders, Playtech was keen to note the benefits it has enjoyed from the US market’s B2B sector. Despite the challenges encountered in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid 19, the B2B gambling sector recorded an 11% growth from €494.8 million in 2020 to €554.3 million in 2021.
Throughout 2021, the American market was the greatest achievement. The sports betting B2B retail segment recorded a 94% growth to €101.3 million. When asked to comment on the impressive results, Playtech’s CEO said the full-year result is a demonstration of the quality of technology delivered by Playtech.
The strong growth is tied to the B2B market, especially the American market. Since Playtech launched its first studio in the US, Americans have loved playing fun casino games online, which was significant in overall casino iGaming revenue recorded by casinos in the USA market.
The impressive performance is similar to Snaitech, which was acquired by Playtech in 2018.
