Betting Limits in Poker: what should you know?
Betting limits in online poker are related to the amount players can bet and raise. Generally, there are three limit alternatives: no limit, pot limit or fixed limit. In the most popular variation of poker in the world, Texas Hold’em, a player must make the highest possible combination of five cards, considering the two they have in their hands and the community cards on the table.
No Limit
In poker games with a no-limit betting structure, each player can bet or raise any amount they want whenever it is their turn to play.
Pot Limit
In pot-limit poker games, the amount of bets is limited to the size of the pot, which can grow exponentially depending on the number of bets made.
Fixed Limit
In poker games with a fixed limit betting structure, each player can choose to call, bet or raise, but only for a fixed amount.
Royal Flush
The best login idnpoker hand that cannot be beat by any other is the Royal Flush. It is made up of the ace, king, queen, jack and ten, all of the same suit.
Straight Flush
Five cards in a row, of the same suit. If another player also has a Straight Flush, the highest card value in the sequence wins.

Known as “four of a kind”, this hand is made up of four cards of the same number or value. The fifth card is called ‘kicker’. In the event of a tie, the player with the highest remaining card wins.
Full House
To have a Full House, the player needs a set, and a pair. In the event of a tie, the highest three of a kind wins.
Sequence
Also called a “straight”, the sequence is composed of five cards of different suits in sequence. If another player also has a straight, the value of the highest card in the straight wins.
Crack
Three cards of the same rank, and two other unrelated cards. In the event of a tie, the player with the highest remaining card wins.
Two Pairs
Two different pairs in the same hand. In the case of two players having identical Two Pair, the tie will be broken by the value of the fifth card, called the kicker.

Any two cards of the same number or rank, and three other unrelated cards. In the event of a tie, the player with the highest card remaining will be the winner.
High Letter
Any hand that is not in the above categories. If there is a tie, the second highest card determines the winner.
In the end
Although the highest value hand usually defines the winner, the winner in poker is not always the one with the best cards. Why does it happen? Even without having good cards in his hands, a poker player can try to trick his opponents into believing he is in good shape to win. If the bluff is well executed, the player will make the opponents give up a play with the feeling that they will be defeated and, thus, he will have all the chips bet on the table.
