Baccarat Betting: How to Play Baccarat
One of the casino games that gamblers love to play in online casino Malaysia is baccarat. This is a card game that has been popular since its invention in Italy in the 1400s and is purely based on luck.
Since it is 100 per cent luck, players do not essentially have to develop skills first to start playing the game – unlike other games that will require more skills and strategies for gamblers to get a higher advantage and earn more profit.
Still, players need to learn the objectives, gameplay, and basic rules of baccaratbefore playing baccarat in a live casino Singapore.
In baccarat, the objective is for the players to guess who among them or the banker has the better hand that counts close to 9. When they have placed their bets, the game begins. The banker will deal a two-card hand between the players and themselves. And once this is done, the players will be the first to take their turns, and the banker goes last.
In this game, players have to be familiar with the general rules, which essentially revolve around the values of the cards and how to count the total of their cards.
- Each type of card has a specific value: aces are counted as one; 10’s and face cards are counted as zero; and other numerical cards (2-9) are counted at face value.
- No total can be higher than 9; so if they have a total of 10 or higher, they have to drop the first digit to determine the actual value of their cards.
- If the hands of both the player and the bankerhave the same total, it results in a tie. When this happens, neither hand wins or loses.
- A hand that total 8 or 9 is called a “natural.” That hand wins, and neither the player nor the banker can draw another card.
Moreover, when players and the banker take their turns, they can choose among the two actions to take: either stand or draw a card. When taking action, they also have a specific set of rules to follow.
The player hand rules are quite simple and easy to remember. Players have to stand if their hand total 6 or 8. Consequently, if their first two cards total 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, they must draw a card.
In contrast, the banker has more rules to follow when taking their turn, and each action they take has specific conditions:
If the player’s first two cards has a total of six or higher, the banker draws a third card if their hand totals 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and stands if their total is 6, 7, 8, 9.
When the player drew a third card, the banker takes action depending on their hand’s total:
0, 1, 2: The banker draws a third card, regardless of the value of the player’s third card is.
3: The banker draws a third card when the player’s third card is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, or 10, but stands if the player’s third card is an 8.
4: The banker draws a card if the player’s third card was 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7.
5: The banker draws a third card when the player’s third card is a 4, 5, 6, or 7.
6: The banker draws a card if the player’s third card is a 6 or 7.
7: The banker stands
